The cultivar is perennial herbs， usually with swollen and branched rhizomes. The corolla color is light blue and the silvery bract is membranous. The cultivar shows good adaptability and superior yield. The rhizome yield of dry weight could be as high as 6 750 kg hm-2. The content of irone， which is the effective ingredient is above 500 mg kg-1. Keywords Iris pallida； cultivar 香根鸢尾（ Iris pallida）属于鸢尾科鸢尾属，既是观赏植物，又是香料植物。其根状茎中富含鸢尾酮，在香水、化妆品等产业中广泛应用。香根鸢尾在意大利佛罗伦萨地区已有百余年规模化栽培历史（ Firmin et al.， 1998） 。 nbsp;20 世纪 70 年代中国部分地区建立了香料用鸢尾产业化种植基地，但这些基地的鸢尾品种混杂，其鸢尾酮含量低于国际平均水平（韩桂军 nbsp;等， 2013） 。为解决上述问题，课题组于 2009 年开展了香料用鸢尾种质资源引种工作，陆续从我国浙江磐安、云南寻甸以及意大利佛罗伦萨等地引种香料用鸢尾。 ‘贵妃香根鸢尾’ （图 1）是从意大利引进的香根鸢尾资源中，通过单株选择、分株扩繁、筛选形成的新品种。 2012 2015 年先后在陕西西安、咸阳、渭南等地区进行区域化试验，表现出良好的适应性，平均株高与根状茎产量均高于原引种品种，性状整齐一致， 2016 年 1 月经陕西省林木品种审定委员会审定并定名。 nbsp;Han Guijun， Li Sifeng， Wu Yongpeng.
